The main issue that I would like to discuss during my conference is the speed at which I talking during both my podcast and my podcast slideshow. I have a tendency to talk somewhat fast naturally, and I do not know if it is inappropriate for my podcasts. Another issue that I would like to discuss during my conference is my refernce lists. Before this class I had never used CSW format, and I would like to make sure that I did it correctly. I am aslo open to any suggestions on how I could improve any of my projects so hopefully I will be given some advice during my conference.
The first source that I used that I found very helpful was www.rls.org, and it was used for the research of my webtext. I found this source to be particularly interesting because it had an incredibly large amount of information on Restless Leg Syndrome which is a subject that does not have alot of valid information about. This website was also interesting because it offered support groups for RLS patients.
The second source that I used that I found to be useful was www.sleepapnea.org, and it was used during my research for my webtext. I really liked this site because it was very similar to the website www.rls.org. It was easy to navigate through, and it also contained alot of information that most of the other sleep apnea websites did not.
The third source that I used that I found to be helpful during my research was www.mayoclinic.com. I actually used this website for my webtext as well as my podcast slideshow. The main reason why I used this site for two out of three of my projects was because it is a very trustworthy and supported site. It also contained alot of support for the patients.

Podcast
For me the biggest difference between written and spoken text is that written text can sometimes be bland and boring where as spoken text seems to hold the audiences attention. I am not by any means saying that this is always true because I have listened to some very boring podcasts before, but I have a strong feeling that this class will make some very entertainig podcasts.
My major revision plan for my podcast is to shorten my script that way my podcast is not so drawn out (eight minutes is just a little bit to long for me). Also Kayla suggested that I slow down my speed when I am talking. At first I did not realize that I was talking so fast until I went back and listened to it again, so I will definitly be talking slower in my final podcast. Another thing that I need to work on is that I studdered a little bit probably because I was nervous, so I will definitly be working on that little problem when i record again.
Feedback is also welcome so feel free to comment on my podcast.

I will be doing my podcast on insomnia, or at least that is what I am thinking right now. I wanted to talk about the causes because many people think that it only happens when a person has a lot on their mind or when they are stressed. Although stress can be the cause of insomnia, but some people suffer from this sleep disorder even when they are not under a lot of pressure. I also wanted to talk about the effects that it can have on a person suffering from this form of sleep deprivation as well as what the treatment options are. A good friend of mines boyfriend suffers from constant insomnia so I was hoping to interview him for my podcast, and have someone else pretend like they are him. I am open to any suggestions so please feel free to leave a comment because I am not totally set on this topic as my podcast it all depends on the feedback that I receive.

The feedback that I received from both my instructor and Kayla during peer review was very constructive, and I believe that it will be very helpful in the final stages of my webtext. My word count is very high so I don't think that that is a major concern as of right now. The main thing that I need to improve on is the lack of in-text citations within my webtext, so I fill be very focused on that this week. I also need to create a reference page this week. After I posted my draft 3 for review by my instructor I added some links within my text, developed a color scheme, and added some appropriate pictures. All and all I think that I am on the right track with the exception of my lack of in-text citations which I will be working on this week.

My audience would include my fellow classmates as well as my teacher and student teacher, but if I had to estimate I would say that my audience included about 20-25 people.
My fellow classmates would be on the same English level as myself, but my teacher and student teacher will be on a much high level of English comprehention.
Judgeing by the feedback that I got after my presentation on Monday I think that maybe about half of my audience knows a little bit about my topic. The other half of the class I do not think knows very much about my subject.
My audience seemed very interested in my topic, and they seemed to be excited to read my article.
I think that their expectations about my suject are to learn more about some common sleep disorders and what triggers them.
My audience's reason for reading about my topic I would hope would be so that they can gain a better understanding of sleep disorders as well as their devistating effects.
After reading about my subject I am hopeing that my audience will have a better understanding of the nature of sleep disorders, so that they can help loved ones that my struggle with a sleep disorder. Also I am hopeing that my audience will help sleep organizations to find cures or treatment options for those who are effected by a sleep disorder.
The main purpose for writing about this topic is so that average person can be more informed of the dangerous and devistating effects of sleep disorders. Sometimes I think that some disorders such as insomnia are thought of as joke, and I would like to change that. (even if it is only a couple of people that are impacted by my assignment)
I think that by having a strong but down to earth tone, style, and voice will help hold my audiences attention as well as make them what to keep reading until they have finished the entire article.

I have decided to make sleeping disorders my topic for the semester.
The first website that I found alot of useful information on was www.rls.org. I beleive that this source is crediable because the name of the organization that sponsers the web page is clearly stated on the home page, and it also has contact informaiton. There are multiple hyperlinks within this web page as well as other sources with similar informaiton. The original publication of this website is 2007, but it has been continusly updated. Also there is no bias found within the text.
The second website that I found was www.sleepnet.com. I am not fully convinced that this site is 100% crediable. The major problem that I have with this page is that there is no organization or author listed anywhere on the home page. On the other hand there are many hyperlinks to other sources containing further information about my topic. The publication date is 1995-2007, and there is no indication that the website has been updated since 2007. I am somewhat concerned that this site maybe a little outdated. There is no bias found within the articles on this web page.
Working Thesis
Sleep disorders such as Restless Leg Syndrome, Sleep Apnea, and Insomnia seriously affect the lives of millions of Americans.
Preliminary Conclusion
Sleep disorders such as Restless Leg Syndrome, Sleep Apnea, and Insomnia seriously affect more people than even society realizes. Unfortunatly there is no set way for doctors to diagnos a patient with a sleep disorder. Also there are not many treatment options or cures for people suffering with a sleep disorder. Therefore, more money and time should be put into the researching and development of these disorders.
Plan of Research
I plan on finding as many sources about my topic as possible. While searching for more sources I will assess the quality of the website to make sure that it is both reliable and trustworthy. Also I will decide if sleepnet.com is a site that qualifies as reliable before ever useing any of the information on it.

1. cloning
I find this topic interesting because you hear more and more about it in the news, but I personally do not know to much about it.
2. Restless Leg Syndrome
I am interested in this topic because I have this particular sleep disorder, and there is not a lot of information about it or a cure.
3. prescription drug abuse
I am interested in this topic because recently that the media has focused a lot of attention on the growing problem of prescription drug abuse.
-Prescription drug abuse
- I do not know a whole lot about prescription drug abuse other than that it is a rapidly increasing issue within the United States. Also that it includes vikidin and oxycotton.
1. My first question is how many Americans are addicted to prescription drugs?
2. My second question is what are some of the warning signs that a person with an addiction would have?
3. My third question is how have prescription drugs become so easily available?
